Takes me 5 minutes to walk here. Not big on this place anymore. Went downhill years ago. Coneys are ok but breakfast potatoes are blaw as are the breakfast meats. All precooked and dry. Quit going here several years ago and not sure why I recently tried it again. Won't be back. Same feelings as the other neighbors on my street.

Wiener Wars - Continued Don't confuse the name LA Coney with a restaurant that you might see in California. This is a typical Detroit style coney/greek restaurant. This restaurant is right across the street from the plant I spend a lot of time. The plant doesn't have a cafeteria anymore but they have this restaurant bring in meals for the hard working people. I go here to take a break from the day. Okay, coney restaurant. Try the coney. The coney sauce was a little pasty. I like them a little runny. Runny to the point that you cannot pick them up but have to cut slices before you eat them. The fries were hot and fresh. Nothing fancy, a little like the old Wendy's fries. Glass of water ...remember, on a diet. lol. Prices, reasonable. Service good. Bathrooms, no clue since I work across the street.

It's just OK here. the coneys are like everywhere else. its the fries that really bore me. just chunks of potato with no flavor at all. when everything at your place could possibly come with fries, why oh why would you not try to make them a little better? unfortunately i eat here a lot. my coworkers like it here and i have it at least once monthly for the past five years. i must be a masochist. on the plus side they are fast and the waitesses are nice and proficient. the guy who takes the money is a little sourpuss. i just wanna grab him and lay a huge gay kiss on him love, juston

Caveat here -- I've only had breakfast here. Having said that, I'm a big fan. The prices are cheap and they give you a good amount of food prepared well. While I think the location on Dequindre is a little better, this place is a good one to stop off at when you need a quick bite. I've had omelets, a normal breakfast plate and corned beef hash, and all have been luscious.

The food is great relative to similar restaurants and prices are good too. I work close so go here for lunch a lot. Always get very good service and the food comes out quick. Great place especially for a quick lunch.

Staple for lunch. Food is always consistent, you know what you're going to get. It's a typical Detroit Coney Island with greek food. I've had their coneys, fries, soups and salads. All good. Prices are reasonable and service is good. Great place for lunch, easy to get in and out quickly.

Love this place! Perfect for breakfast or brunch... Affordable quick and friendly and one of my favorite places to meet for breakfast brunch or lunch but I like them best for breakfast.

I have eaten here a few times and wondered why i came back each time. The food is bland, often over cooked and service is slow. There are far better coney's in the area.
